About Place:

The Patta, Aundha, and Bitangad forts form a spectacular historic ridge in Maharashtra's Western Ghats. Patta Fort (Vishramgad) features a massive, windy plateau famous for its modern windmill farm and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's 1679 campsite. Connected by a single mountain ridge stands Aundha Fort, a volcanic cone featuring a thrilling, near-vertical iron-chain rock climb to its needle peak. Completing this epic trio is Bitangad Fort, a secluded peak offering a short but panoramic ridge hike with sweeping views of the Kalsubai range. Together, these three companion peaks offer a pristine Sahyadri wilderness where ancient Maratha heritage meets raw mountain adventure.
